At Camp Diva, my non-profit organization, we have these types of conversations all the time as a way to help girls of African descent prepare for their passage into womanhood.
We're actually really lucky that this works, because no one really knows why the thoughts in our heads should actually relate to the fundamental workings of the universe.
We’ve honed in on these three moons because each is an ‘ocean world, ’ an environment that contains a liquid ocean– and liquid can support the formation of life.
In fact, not only is it very difficult to tell what your needs are, but even the people close to you often struggle to understand how they can support you.
But in a time when the world's problems are more complex and people are more polarized, using science to help us understand how we interact and make decisions will hopefully spark interesting new ways to construct a better democracy.
We do this not only to ourselves, but also to people we love, like our children -- we may inadvertently shame them out of emotions seen as negative, jump to a solution, and fail to help them to see these emotions as inherently valuable.
